Global Product Authentication Strategy & Assessment Process

The Challenge

  • To meet the objectives of the global product authentication project a number of operational processes, a technology infrastructure, and specialized expertise are required. In addition, the client organization must identify the first proof-of-concept packaging line where it is desired/preferred to install a global product authentication system.
  • To develop an e-coding/serialization and traceability/e-pedigree road map that aligns client business goals with a global product authentication technology solution, Corporate Health Initiatives Consulting (CorpHI) considers the following components:
    • Scale of Deployment: CorpHI ensures that the selected solution will perform at the level clients require, when fully rolled out, and will do so without increasing costs.
    • System Functionality: To avoid higher operational costs or custom development CorpHI ensures that the solution provides all the capabilities that the client requires.
    • Software Delivery: CorpHI offers the option for the solution to be delivered as a packaged solution or as a toolkit.
    • Cost: Depending on the size and complexity of the client's operations, CorpHI makes certain that the correct cost to implement a global product authentication system is applied.
    • Vendor/Product Selection: Emphasis is placed specifically at exception-processing support, integration points, deployment requirements, hardware and software prerequisites, costs, and how much operational support a vendor's product provides.

The Opportunity

  • CorpHI can assess client existing supply chain and business needs, document where opportunities lie and what the client would need to do to achieve them. Throughout the project's lifecycle, the CorpHI implementation and operations service teams are ready to assist with implementation, go-live testing, and ongoing operational support.
